While We're Away

Our love of theater and voice have taken us this year to Scotland for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It is an amazing three weeks organized every August to accompany the International Festival and features performances of all kinds by professionals and students from every corner of the globe. It starts early and ends late in every conceivable type of venue, from the dingiest basement cavern to nightly fly-overs by F16s to accompany the nightly military tattoos. There are, literally, hundreds of shows--song, circus, satire, you name it. Tourists and townies pour through every street, 'What show is this queue for?' 'What have you seen?' 'Was it good?' 'Do you think I can still get a ticket?' like ritual litanies bonding the faithful in their thespian pilgrimages. A must for any who love the stage and we hope to return next summer when the Arizona monsoons returns to shut down the Watsu pool again.
