I didn't coin the phrase. If I knew who did, I would give them credit for it. Nevertheless, it's true. You could be the smartest person in the world, the most knowledgeable expert in your field, if you're indifferent to people's concerns, they'll have no use for you.
Prizes and awards and degrees may feed and stroke the ego. They earn us recogniton from our peers. But only the heart can connect with people in a meaningful, lasting way.
So very true about prizes and awards to stroke the ego. The heart and caring about people and how we interact is truly the glue that brings us together in a harmonious way that brings happiness to all. Jesus Christ had written in the Bible, "There is more happiness in giving than in receiving."
