Here at Sedona Holistic we are fortunate to have escaped the devastation of yesterday's violent hailstorm and flash flooding that destroyed many parts of our town. We are getting ready to host some of the cats whose homes are currently unlivable.

One of our loveliest shopping areas, the artists' village of Tlaquepaque, was severely damaged. Of all the cars in the parking lot at the time the floods hit in--peak afternoon shopping time--few survived total destruction. I am told that the floods smashed them into each other and in many cases piled them one on top of the other. For those of you who are familiar with our facility here, I can report that the wash overran its banks and filled with the most violent torrents hurtling down from Thunder Mountain for nearly an hour.
But the walls were strong and held fast and I am grateful to those who put such backbreaking work into building them. Just as soon as the worst emergencies around Sedona are taken care of, we'll put a crew together to clear out the silt and debris. So that we'll be ready for next time.
Many thanks to Superintendant Gordy Waite of K&A General Contracting, who came over to help find the source of a leak--which seems to be the one bit of damage we sustained over here. A well built, beautiful construction.
